FIDO Relay Unit

Written By Gareth Lloyd

The FIDO Relay unit is deployed along with a FIDO sensor, the Relay unit will automatically connect to the sensor and upload data recorded each day, to give you a constant flow of data coming through to your fingertips.

On the face of the unit you will see the serial number of the unit, this will allow you to track where units are deployed across your network. It is important that when you install the unit, that the “bottom” of the relay is at the top of the chamber. The antenna is in the base, and so it is important the antenna is as close to the lid as possible!

The extra strong magnet on the rear of the unit is to keep the unit in place at the top of the chamber.

The outer casing is fully water and heat proof to keep the circuit board and batteries safe.

Mini Relays (Currently a prototype)

The mini relay will soon be put into production. The magnet on this is at the base of the unit, like the sensors, and the body of the unit is much smaller than the original unit. This will allow us to deploy relays into chambers with less space and attach it to the lid of the chamber making sure the antenna has the best chance of connecting to the network!
