The FIDO sensor
Written By Gareth Lloyd
The FIDO sensor is key to everything we do. The small, lightweight sensor can be placed onto your network assets and left to record data over varying amounts of time.

On the top of the sensor you will notice a Serial Number, this allows you, using Portal, to track what sensors have been used in what locations. The black rubber O ring is attached to the sensor to make it easier to deploy and retrieve the sensor when attached to assets deeper in the ground.

The magnet on the base allows the user to place the sensor on the asset without worrying that the sensor will fall. There are three teeth giving the sensor the ideal amount of contact with the asset to pick up the leak noise being generated.
The LED at the bottom of the sensor will light up in several different colours.
Green - this indicates that you have successfully connected your phone to the sensor.
Purple - the LED will flash purple once a session has been programmed.
Red - the LED will light up red whenever the sensor is taking a recording.
Blue - the sensor will flash blue when there is data ready to upload.
The batteries and circuit board is well protected by the outer casing which is both waterproof and heatproof.
The battery life of the FIDO sensor is expected to last up to 5 years.
