FIDO Relay and Sensor collection.

To collect your Relay units and Sensors, open your FIDO app and head over to locations marked with the Relay icon on the map.

Once you have picked up the unit, tap on ‘Devices’ at the bottom of the map screen. Next up tap on ‘Relays’ at the top of the screen to see all the Relay units within Bluetooth range of your phone. The unit you picked up should have a green cloud icon next to it. If you have multiple units around you, you can search for the ID of the unit you want, or you can use the filter to change the Bluetooth range that you are searching.

When you have found the unit, tap on it. You will be taken to the Relay page that shows you the status of the unit, the location in which it was deployed and the session/sensor that was connected to it when deployed. Simply tap on the ‘collect’ button. Confirm that you have indeed collected the unit and tap on ‘Relay collected’. A loading bar will appear and will then change to a green bar with a message showing ‘Relay collected Successfully’. When you tap on Ok you will see that the unit has gone back into the status ‘Asleep’.

Press the back button and you will notice that the icon has changed from a green cloud to an alarm clock.

Now tap on ‘Sensors’, select the sensor that you have just picked up (again you can use the search bar or filter to more easily find the sensor). The sensor will have a little rocket icon, tap on it and you will be taken to the sensor page. Tap on ‘Stop Sensor’. It is important you do this when collecting your sensors otherwise the sensor will continue to record every night until it is used again which will use unnecessary battery as well as uploading incorrect data for the session when you next come to use that sensor.
